8 STEVIES® FOR CSR PROGRAM OF THE YEAR CONGRATULATIONS SEALAND – A MAERSK COMPANY

Miramar, Florida – Sealand – A Maersk Company was named winner of a GOLD, 4 SILVER, and 3 BRONZE Stevie® Awards in the Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year category in The 17th Annual International Business Awards®.

The judges recognized Sealand and its non-profit partners for delivering Quality Education in a “highly integrated” community program.

In place since late 2015, Sealand’s transformational community program is led by frontline employees and their counterparts at non-profit organizations. Local teams proactively engaged in implementing long-term programs destined at solving social problems.

The partners committed to supporting 3 UN SDGs; notably to delivering inclusive and holistic Quality Education in granular alignment with UN SDG 4. By 2020, the program had grown to 16 partnerships throughout the Americas that deliver both social and business impact.

A tribute to all Sealanders involved with the company's differentiated program, to 55 Sealanders who have been leading local projects over time, to the company's long-term non-profit partners, and to Sealand’s implementation partner, The Collaboration Vector Inc., the company won a GOLD Stevie® Award for its overall program.

Sealand’s partnerships in Colombia with FUNASA, in Peru with Enseña Perú, in Mexico with EDUCA, and in Panama with Costa Recicla each won a SILVER Stevie® Award. A further three BRONZE awards were won by partnerships in Costa Rica with Fundación Lifting Hands, in Brazil with Projeto Arrastão, and in Ecuador with Sor Dominga Bocca.

Teams delivered unique educational approaches to vulnerable community members, that have been multi-faceted, fun, and experiential. Two-way exchanges with youth have been inspiring mutual growth that is equipping individuals and teams to become agents of change.

The judges commended Sealand on the “enormous effort and the use of highly effective tools”, implementing “a program that is enabling kids to build meaningful lives” and “a campaign to create and nurture future leaders.”
